Shipping Policy

General Provisions

1. By placing an order electronically through this website, you confirm that you have reviewed and accepted the applicable Preliminary Information Form and Distance Sales Agreement.
2. The sale and delivery of products are governed by Turkish Consumer Protection Law No. 6502, the Distance Contracts Regulation and other applicable legislation.
3. Unless expressly stated otherwise during checkout or as part of a campaign, shipping charges for delivery are paid by the buyer. The applicable shipping charge is shown before the order is confirmed.
4. Each purchased product will be delivered to the person or organisation at the delivery address provided by the buyer within the period stated in the order confirmation and, except for goods prepared in line with the consumer’s request or personal needs, no later than 30 days after the order is placed.
5. Products must be delivered complete and in accordance with the characteristics stated in the order, together with any legally required documents and materials applicable to the product.
6. If fulfilment of an order becomes impossible, NotaBene Yayınları will notify the buyer in writing or through a durable medium within three days of becoming aware of the situation. All payments collected for the affected order, including delivery charges where applicable, will be refunded within 14 days of that notification.

Unpaid or Reversed Payments

1. If the product price is not paid, the payment is cancelled before completion, or the payment cannot be collected, NotaBene Yayınları is not required to dispatch or deliver the order.

Unauthorised Use of Payment Instruments

1. If a payment is reported as unauthorised or is reversed by a bank or payment service provider after delivery, NotaBene Yayınları may contact the buyer to clarify the transaction and, where legally justified, arrange the return of the product at NotaBene Yayınları’s expense. Nothing in this clause limits the rights of a good-faith consumer or the protections provided under applicable payment-services and consumer legislation.

Delays Caused by Events Beyond Our Control

1. If an unforeseeable event or force majeure prevents timely delivery, NotaBene Yayınları will inform the buyer. The buyer may request cancellation, agree to a comparable replacement where available, or agree to postpone delivery until the obstacle is removed. If the order is cancelled, the collected amount will be refunded within 14 days using the original payment method. The time required for the bank or payment provider to reflect the refund in the buyer’s account may vary and is outside NotaBene Yayınları’s control.

Inspection of Delivered Products

1. The buyer should inspect the parcel at delivery whenever reasonably possible. If the parcel is crushed, torn, wet, opened or otherwise visibly damaged, the buyer should ask the carrier to prepare a damage report and should notify NotaBene Yayınları promptly. Accepting the parcel without a report does not remove the buyer’s statutory rights regarding defective, missing or damaged goods, including defects that could not reasonably be identified at delivery.

Right of Withdrawal

1. A consumer may withdraw from a distance sales contract without giving a reason and without paying a penalty by notifying NotaBene Yayınları within 14 days. For goods, this period generally begins on the date on which the consumer or a third party designated by the consumer receives the product. The consumer may also exercise the right of withdrawal between the conclusion of the contract and delivery of the product.

Withdrawal Period for Services

1. For service contracts, the 14-day withdrawal period begins on the date the contract is concluded. Where performance begins before the end of the withdrawal period with the consumer’s prior express request and acknowledgement, the right of withdrawal may be restricted or unavailable to the extent permitted by law.

Return Shipping Costs

1. Return shipping costs arising from the lawful exercise of the right of withdrawal are borne by NotaBene Yayınları. Please contact info@notabene.com.tr before dispatch so that the applicable return method and shipping instructions can be provided. Defective or incorrectly supplied products are also returned at no cost to the buyer.

How to Exercise the Right of Withdrawal

1. The withdrawal notice must be sent within the 14-day period by email, registered mail, KEP or another written method made available by NotaBene Yayınları. A clear statement expressing the decision to withdraw is sufficient. The consumer must return the product within 14 days after sending the withdrawal notice, unless NotaBene Yayınları offers to collect it.
2. The invoice or other proof of purchase should be included with the return where available. Where an invoice was issued to a business or institution, the tax documentation required under applicable legislation may also be requested. This administrative requirement does not restrict mandatory consumer rights.
3. Returned products should be sent with their original box or packaging, together with any standard components, inserts and accessories, insofar as reasonably possible. The absence of original packaging does not automatically remove statutory rights, but the consumer may be responsible for a reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the product’s nature, characteristics and functioning.

Refund Conditions

1. For a withdrawal exercised after delivery, NotaBene Yayınları will refund all payments due under applicable law, including the standard initial delivery charge where required, within 14 days from the date the returned product is handed to the return carrier specified by NotaBene Yayınları. If the buyer uses a different carrier, the 14-day period begins when the product reaches NotaBene Yayınları. If withdrawal occurs before delivery, the refund will be made within 14 days after the withdrawal notice is received.
2. The consumer is not liable for changes or deterioration resulting from handling that is reasonably necessary to establish the product’s nature, characteristics and functioning. The consumer may, however, be responsible for any reduction in value caused by use or handling beyond that purpose.
3. If a campaign benefit was conditional on reaching a specified order value and a return causes the order to fall below that threshold, the campaign benefit may be recalculated or cancelled, provided that this was clearly disclosed in the campaign terms and does not restrict the consumer’s statutory rights.

Products and Contracts Excluded from the Right of Withdrawal

1. Unless the parties agree otherwise, the right of withdrawal does not apply to products prepared according to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised; products that may deteriorate rapidly or expire; sealed products that are unsuitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed; products that become inseparably mixed with other items after delivery; periodicals such as newspapers and magazines, except those supplied under a subscription; services performed instantly in an electronic environment; or intangible digital content supplied instantly, where the legal conditions for the exception have been met.
2. For printed books and other physical media covered by the Distance Contracts Regulation, the statutory right of withdrawal may not be available once protective packaging, seals, bands or similar protective elements have been opened. A product remains subject to the consumer’s statutory remedies if it is defective, damaged, incomplete or not as described.
3. The applicable statutory exceptions are interpreted narrowly. The fact that a product is discounted or sold as part of a campaign does not by itself remove the consumer’s right of withdrawal.

Default and Credit-Card Obligations

1. If the buyer uses a credit card or another credit facility and defaults on obligations owed to the issuing bank or financial institution, the legal and financial consequences are governed by the agreement between the buyer and that institution and by applicable law. NotaBene Yayınları is not a party to that credit relationship, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.

Payment and Delivery

1. Payment may be made by bank transfer or EFT in Turkish lira to either of the accounts below. The buyer should include the order number in the payment description. Orders paid by bank transfer are processed after the payment is matched with the order.

1. Credit-card payments may be completed through the online payment options displayed at checkout, including a single payment or instalments where offered by the relevant bank or payment provider. The transaction is charged to the card when the order is completed. Available instalment options, interest, fees and campaign conditions are determined by the relevant bank or payment provider and are shown during payment where applicable.
